    PreZero

    PreZero (GreenCycle GmbH)

    PreZero is a digital platform that enables businesses to quickly, easily, and cost effectively manage their waste disposal needs. Due to a lack of digitalization and lack of transparency in the waste disposal market, end customers often find it difficult to determine their needs correctly.

    What customer problems did you set out to solve?

    At www.prezero.com, users can put together their individual requirements for waste disposal services in just a few steps. They can choose from all common types of waste, containers and collection cycles. In addition, PreZero recommends the most efficient and cost-effective alternative based on user input. Once the selection has been made, users immediately receive a non-binding offer, which they can conveniently conclude online. PreZero also creates transparency through a clear breakdown and explanation of the offer price and how much money their recyclables are worth.

    What differentiates your proposition from other offerings in the market?

    The platform is unique. In indirect competition, of course, all waste management companies are relevant.

    With our offer we create a complete new market and therefore have a certain "first-mover advantage". The mix of decades of knowledge, existing trade relationships and our team of entrepreneurs, developers and designers is a promising mix that will hopefully lead to success in the end. The USPs that make up our product are: Simplicity, transparency and comfort.

    Why simplicity? With PreZero, our customers can compile their disposal requirements with just a few clicks and choose from all common types of waste and containers and get the best possible price for it.

    Why transparency? With PreZero, customers can see exactly how the price of the offer is derived (transparency is foreign to waste disposal) and can accept the offer within the application.

    How have you proven that your concept has potential for impact?

    We have conducted various tests over the last 12 months:

    • first 50+ qualitative interviews
    • +400 sales calls with several mock-ups
    • several prototypes and live-tests via landing-pages and marketing campaigns to verify the potential to digitally acquire customers
    • mvp development to verify that we are capable of handling the whole process digitally

    Where do you see this proposition in 12 months time?

    In one year, we have expanded our waste management platform to cover the whole of Germany, added numerous new features to our application and are the central point of contact for all commercial enterprises for trade in recyclable materials.

    We have expanded across wide parts of Germany, but our coverage doesn’t cover 100% yet. That is one of the goal in 2019. We also intend add features that allow waste disposal to focus on handling waste. No customer acquisition, disposition or routing.
