    What customer problems did you set out to solve?

    Tracking and managing rainbow (i.e. multiple OEM) fleets is virtually impossible globally. Idling of machines wastes approx. $1000 per year per machine in fuel alone and construction executives lack visibility of how efficiently their machines are operating and where they are located. MachineMax addresses these core frictions.

    What differentiates your proposition from other offerings in the market?

    • Sensor installation is as simple as stick, pair via an app, and go. No engineering installation or cumbersome equipment. It takes 1 minute.
    • The interface is user-friendly and intuitive giving the construction executive real-time, actionable insights. A true Business To Human solution.
    • The price point is a fraction of OEM solutions.
    • Machine Max uses the developments in IoT and leverages data science to create a unique signature for every machine regardless of terrain as well as age, make and model.

    How have you proven that your concept has potential for impact?

    Machine Max was born out of the insights that over 100+ B2B customers gave us globally. We have tested hypotheses and prototypes on them throughout and always included their insights in our development so it really is a product to solve the customers’ pain points. Our 3-pronged route to market (via Shell, agents and our own sales force) will also allow us to achieve scale quickly and globally.

    Where do you see this proposition in 12 months time?

    Machine Max is a standalone company backed by three powerful shareholders to drive its ambition. It will have 10,000 active sensors in multiple global markets, employing the best talent and with £3m turnover.
